Sculpture | Garlic
A garlic sits with one of its skins gently removed and placed beside it.
This fragile membrane—once an unnoticed layer of protection—now reveals the living fold of existence itself. It speaks of growth, decay, and return, echoing Deleuze’s le pli: a fold that joins the inner and the outer, where life turns back upon itself in endless renewal.
The fold here is not only a physical layering but also a philosophical movement—an intertwining of inside and outside, surface and depth, time and space. Through the act of peeling, the boundary between exterior and interior becomes porous, inviting reflection on the body’s multiple structures and the infinite extension of form.
